Park City Mountain and owner Vail Resorts celebrated a win earlier this month when the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission unanimously recommended approving permits for the resort to build its Sunrise Gondola. Though all Park City Mountain pass holders will have access to the $27-million lift, which features 10-person cabs, it is expected to mostly be used by visitors and residents based at the Pendry Residences Park City, the Lift Hotel and the Hyatt Centric. Raja Bell could be returning to Utah once again, only this time for a different reason. The former Utah Jazzman, who had two stints with the team, says Kyle Whittingham and the Utes have offered his son a scholarship. Quarterback Dia Bell, a 2026 prospect out of Florida, took a visit to Salt Lake City and received an offer. Utah joined Miami, Ole Miss, Auburn and others.
