Here are the first 11 celebrities coming to the FanX comic convention

Two Oscar winners, TV’s first two bionic people and one gold-plated protocol droid are among the familiar faces booked to appear at the 2024 edition of FanX Salt Lake Comic & Pop Culture Convention.

Organizers of the annual fan convention, set for Sept. 26-28 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City, announced on Wednesday the first 11 celebrities who are scheduled to visit.

The celebrities are “11 of our most-requested guests,” FanX founder and show producer Dan Farr said in a statement. “We’re committed to using last year’s record breaking 10-year celebration as a springboard to innovating and continuing to provide our fans with the ultimate fan experience.”

More celebrity announcements are expected in the next seven months.

The first 11 celebrities, in alphabetical order, are:

Charlet Chung • Chung is a voice actor known for work in the video games “Overwatch: Heroes of the Storm” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops III,” and Netflix’s “Carmen Sandiego” series.

Anthony Daniels • As the fastidious droid C-3PO, Daniels is the only actor to have appeared in or been involved with all nine movies in the “Star Wars” series.

Lee Majors • Majors played astronaut Steve Austin in “The Six Million Dollar Man” and stuntman Cole Seavers in “The Fall Guy,” and was a voice actor in such video games as “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.”

Lana Parrilla • Parrilla has amassed a long list of TV credits, most notably as Regina Mills, the Evil Queen, on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.”

Randy Quaid • Famous for playing the boorish Cousin Eddie in the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” movie series, Quaid also has appeared in “Independence Day” and “LBJ: The Early Years” (as Lyndon Johnson).

Susan Sarandon • An Oscar winner for her performance in “Dead Man Walking,” Sarandon has also starred in “Atlantic City,” “Thelma & Louise,” “Lorenzo’s Oil,” “The Witches of Eastwick,” “Bull Durham” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

John Schneider • After becoming famous as Bo Duke, one of the lead cousins in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” Schneider appeared as Pa Kent in “Smallville” and had a career as a country singer in the ‘80s.

Lindsay Wagner • Wagner found fame, and an Emmy, as tennis star-turned-superhero in “The Bionic Woman.” More recently, Wagner appeared in the video game “Death Stranding.”

Wil Wheaton • Wheaton played the wunderkind Wesley Crusher on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and played Gordie in “Stand By Me,” and has played himself on “The Big Bang Theory” and has a career as a voice actor in such cartoons as “Teen Titans” and “Ben 10.”

Paul Williams • As a composer, Williams won an Oscar for co-writing “Evergreen” for Barbra Streisand’s “The Star Is Born,” and also wrote music for “The Muppet Movie” and “Bugsy Malone.” Williams has appeared in such movies as “Phantom of the Paradise” and “Smokey and the Bandit.”

Bonnie Wright • Best known for playing Ginny Weasley in the “Harry Potter” franchise, Wright also directs films and owns a production company, BonBonLumiere.
