Former BYU golfer Zac Blair charges up Travelers Championship leaderboard
Former BYU golfer Zac Blair made a hard charge on the final day of the Travelers Championship, shooting an 8-under 62 to move into second place on the leaderboard.
Blair (-20) went into the clubhouse trailing leader Keegan Bradley (-25 through 11 holes) by five strokes.
Blair shot rounds of 65, 65, 68 and 62.
The 32-year-old Blair is 16 starts into a major medical exemption after undergoing shoulder surgery in November 2020. He entered this week’s competition in Cromwell, Conn., needing about 270 points to retain his full PGA Tour card.
Blair, an Ogden native who prepped at Fremont High, played at BYU from 2009-13. He was the West Coast Conference Men’s Co-Player of the Year in 2013.
